At Great Lakes Kendo Club, we believe kendo is more than a martial art — it’s a way to build character, community, and global perspective.

To develop kendo skills while fostering perseverance, camaraderie, and friendship through dedicated practice.

We aim to create a space where individuals of all ages, ethnicities,  and backgrounds challenge themselves and support one another.

Vision Statement:

We strive to cultivate kenshi with strong mind, body, and spirit—guided by empathy, respect, and honor.

Through kendo, we nurture youth into compassionate leaders and foster global citizens who embrace diversity and inclusion.
