If you would like to join, we ask that you purchase your own Shinai (bamboo sword), Kendogi (Dogi and Hakama) as well as Bokuto (wooden sword). There are many online shops, and a few we typically deal with are below:

- Further information
In general, we have beginners in separate classes for about 6 – 12 months (depending on progress), and the sensei can give you suggestions on when you may be ready to progress to wearing Kendogu (armor). No need to worry about Kendogu in the beginning, but feel free to browse at the above links, as it is definitely something to look forward to!
